Hi. I was a Tonik Energy customer. They ceased trading last year and told me account was in debt. I’m willing to repay this debt but have been contacted by a company called Credit Style asking for the payment. Something feels iffy about them. Have any other Tonil customers dealt with them. Thank you

Have they provided a breakdown of what they claim you owe? If they have, do you agree with their sums? If they haven't provided you with a breakdown ask them to.0

There is some advice about what to do at the bottom of the link.1 -
I've had a letter from them as I used to be with Tonik and they now want me to pay £180 that is owed. But Scottish Power, who I was forcibly moved to, has charged me so much for five months of energy that I cannot pay the Tonik debt - will have to arrange a payment plan with Credit Style and I don't think they will stop chasing me...They seem legitimate,0

The SoLR process was brought in to ensure that there is continuity of supply after a supplier failure. Without it, then, in theory, the failed company receivers could have taken legal action to disconnect your meters. Yes, when Tonik failed you were transferred to Scottish Power but why complain now about Scottish Power when you could have switched suppliers months ago?LondonZ17 said:But Scottish Power, who I was forcibly moved to,0
