Nat West switch

Just switched to Nat West via MSE Promise of £125 switch bonus.
I've only had £25 and that came from Money Supermarket!
Anyone else had this?

What did the offer terms say about when you'd receive the bonus from NatWest?

I am intrigued - where on MSE did you see this 'promise'? As I don't think I have ever seen a Natwest switch offer where MSE, or MoneySupermarket, actually pay the switch bonus. A switch bonus is normally paid by the bank directly into the account holder's account. An advanced search across the MSE site only yields information about offers from Natwest to account holders; the most recent one being this one, for which payment is not due for another week or so.

Are you sure the £25 you received from MoneySupermarket relate to Natwest?
  • The most recent NatWest incentive isn't due to be paid out until mid Feb from memory. As above the bank switch incentives are paid by the banks directly into the relevant current account - MSE only ever references the offers, they never pay them out themselves. In any case, check the terms of the offer you "signed up" to and see what they say, or better yet link them here for us to see.

£25 sounds like cashback from an energy switch or something though - have you been using the MSE energy club?
  • I switched to NatWest for the £150 bonus, was paid maybe 2 months after the switch directly into my account by NatWest, not instantly
MSE might have got some affiliate bonus but that is paid to them, not you. The £25 is not from this switch, you'll get paid that later, this is probably something else

My son switched to Natwest before Christmas and had the notification this week that payment was coming shortly so it does seem to be happening

£25 is the same amount as the cashback from MSE energy club switch thing, I just had an email mentioning it. Given they're part of Money Supermarket - could that be it if you switched supplier at the same time?
