Reserving a Gleeson Home

Options
Hi everyone! Me and my partner have found a Gleeson home that is ideal for us, we have a deposit sorted and want to get the ball rolling asap. Gleeson however are yet to release the plot for sale. They have said it will be released within the next month or so however they can’t advise a firm date. It is one of the last plots to be released before the development is completely finalised in September. I’m just wondering if anyone has ever had any trouble reserving a Gleeson home i.e. the house you want has been reserved before you got the chance on the day it’s released? We’ve been into the sales office to see if we can have first refusal but the sales rep advised this wasn’t possible. Thanks!

You have no idea how many other people they've said that to already, of course.

One thing's for sure - if you're showing yourselves to be THIS keen, you can forget any hope of any negotiation over price or "extras"...

What's so special about this particular newbuild?
  • Definitely! It was something I thought about asking re, how much interest have they had but I didn’t know if they would be able to disclose it or if they would even be honest about it.

In terms of what’s special about it, as first time buyers with jobs and 2 cars and a guitarist as a boyfriend we needed somewhere in a decent location for both of our commutes, a garage and a driveway for our cars / musical equipment, a semi detached with a room for being able to record music without worrying about noise and something that we could afford as 1st time buyers. After hunting round, this house is the only one in our area that ticks all the boxes that isnt the typical tiny new build!

You’re right about negotiations, I never thought of it that way. I’ll definitely be bearing that in mind if we do manage to reserve! 😊
