What are my rights?

Bought a tumble dryer from Currys in October. Had a Candy Engineer out twice to fix the noisy drum (had to go through Candy as Currys fobbed me off after being on hold for 30 minutes!). Its been faulty from the start and I am fed up with having to get someone out, change my shifts and thoroughly clean the area afterwards 🙄. I am an NHS key worker and haven't got the time or energy quite frankly. I need to call up tomorrow and kick some a*s. Who shall I ring and what are my rights. I just want a replacement or a refund. I do not want another engineer visit - not wholly unreasonable I don't think. Thank you in advance 😊

Currys, they are allowed 1 time to fix it & they haven't.0

Was this a warranty claim?Rachrachrach1 said:Bought a tumble dryer from Currys in October. Had a Candy Engineer out twice to fix the noisy drum (had to go through Candy as Currys fobbed me off after being on hold for 30 minutes!).
That isn't relevant.Rachrachrach1 said:I am an NHS key worker and haven't got the time or energy quite frankly.
Are you claiming under the warranty? If so, you need to look at the T&C of the warranty.Rachrachrach1 said:I need to call up tomorrow and kick some a*s. Who shall I ring and what are my rights. The problem is that Curry’s haven’t had their 1 chance to fix it yet (although the manufacturer has had 2). Possibly that is because curry’s were being difficult to get hold of but don’t think it changes the position that they still have a chance to repair in accordance with consumer rights. Unless they told you to go to the manufacturer.Spank said:Currys, they are allowed 1 time to fix it & they haven't.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0 -

OP, you are way out of time for a replacement. You has 30 days to reject under CRA 2015, so that ship has sailed. However you can still use your statutory rights under CRA 2015 with the retailer: the first step is a formal letter to DSG asking them to replace it, given that 2 engineer visits have failed to resolve the problem. Most reasonable retailers would recognize this and do so, but unfortunately you purchased from DSG, who's reputation as the UK worst retailer was not earned without effort...No free lunch, and no free laptop
