hi moanymoany
heres the recipe - they are a bit different to the ones you buy but we like these more
350g wholemeal pastry
2lb potatoes
1lb finely chopped onion
25g marg
2-3 cloves very finely chopped or pressed garlic
2 teaspoons mixed herbs
2 teaspoons veg stock granules (I usually use marigold bouillon powder)
350g grated cheese
seasoning
Put the potatoes on to boil until really tender. Make the pastry, roll out & cut into circles with jam tart cutter & place in jam tart tin. Chill for 15 mins.
Gently fry onions in 25g marg till soft, then add the garlic, herbs & veg granules & mix well.
Drain the potatoes, mash well, then add in the onion mixture & 3/4 of the cheese. Pile into pastry cases roughly & sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
Bake at 190c/gas mark 5 for 20mins.
Hope you enjoy them, they are nicest when they are warm I think0 -
as usual can only really plan until wed as thats when the veg man comes!!
(the kids now answer the door and say 'hello veg man'
sun, slow cooked lamb, carrots, cauli, yorkies, mash and gravy

tues, spag bol with onions, roasted tomatoes, mushrooms & pepper
