my meal plans for the coming week
sun, pork dinner,mashed/roast pots,roast parsnip,veg and stuffing if i have some.
mon quiche/bacon and egg pie, not sure which yet or what to serve it with
tues sausage,egg,chips and beans.
weds, chicken dinner
thurs, pasta bake and garlic bread
fri, kids out with ex
sat, pizza
last weeks plan sort of went to pot, i forgot i had a meeting at dd's school so had to forego the beef dinner.
have all the meat needed for the meals, will need to pick up some milk,eggs and the pizza.0 -
My meal plan for this week is:
Sun: Buffet at my bros.
Mon: Roast lamb, roast and mashed pots.
peas and carrots.
Tues:Mousaka (with left-over lamb}
Wed. Lamb stew. (left-over lamb again.
Was a large leg of lamb)!:rotfl:
Thur: HM Chicken curry, rice and naan.
Fri: Tuna pasta.
Sat: HM soup with crusty bread.
The only thing I will have to buy is the crusty bread
as I have everything in the cupboards and freezer.
So no grocery spending for me again this week!:TLiving a frugal retirement without treading on the planet :T

Sunday - Roast Chicken Dinner, apple pie & custard
Monday - Omlette, walls vienetta
Tuesday - Savoury Mince, veg & Mash, mince pie & custard
Weds - Fish & Oven chips, fruit salad
Thursday - Sausage & Mash, fruit salad
Fri - take away for me & OH (kids go to their dad's for tea)

I sat down last weekend and meal planned for 3 weeks.
But it has all gone out the window as hubby and me are still in the middle of some stinking colds and cooking and eating is the last things on our minds at the moment.
At least I might loose some more weight :rotfl:

Saturday - we had Quorn Pepper Steak (BOGOF), carrot, parsnip, cauli, mash and gravy. Little man had some lentil suprise from the freezer with his veggies.
Sunday - we are having pasta with veggie sauce (peppers, onions, mushrooms, tin toms and some pesto)
Monday - Adults having curry and rice. Probably pepper and potato or chickpeas (run out of most other veg! Little man has tea at nursery.
Tuesday - DS & DH have cooked lunch at grannys so I will take soup or cassarole from feezer to work and we can all have a light tea.
Wednesday - hmm lets see... probably oven chips, veggie fingers / grills and beans
Thursday - potatoes, onions and cheese pan haggerty type thing IYKWIM. Prob with processed peas.
Friday - shopping day so not sure! Looks like I can get to friday without buying more than bread and milk though - hurray!!

Sat Southern fried chicken, coleslaw and wedges.
Sun Rosemary and garlic lamb breast,clapshot and baby carrots.
Mon Steak and ale pie with new pots.
Tue Chicken cobbler.
Wed Cheese and mushroom souffle omlettes.
Thurs Lamb chops with garlic and onion saute potatoes.

Mon - Spag Bol
Tues - sausages, cheesey baked potatoes, mums bbq sauce
Weds - Tuna salad
Thurs - Jambalaya (will use leftover pork as the meat)
Fri - Duck and pineapple curry, sticky rice and thai crackers

Very useful thread this. OH normally cooks (he's better at it than me) but he's away for four days so I'm in charge of the catering dept.
Mon. I think might be leftovers from today.
Tues. Chicken breasts with some white wine sauce and taglatelle
Wed. Sausages/toad in the hole (I think)
Thur. Kiev, garlic mushrooms, tomatos and wedges
Fri.................going away for the weekend...........someone else cooks !:TMary

as usual can only really plan until wed as thats when the veg man comes!!
(the kids now answer the door and say 'hello veg man'
sun, slow cooked lamb, carrots, cauli, yorkies, mash and gravy
mon, some types of hash/bubble & squeak and LO lamb
tues, spag bol with onions, roasted tomatoes, mushrooms & pepper
wed, bacon & mozzerellla potato bake with sprouts- prior planning prevents poor performance!
