@anteguardian any update on your build? I've been to visit the site today and I was pretty pleased with what they had done in the last couple of weeks. Wall cavity filled, first fix electrics and plumbing done and also all windows and doors were in Including bay window. Plasterers were preparing to start on the property from tomorrow as well. They still think they can complete by the end of march
    Hello @javp
I’m glad to hear your build is coming along well and that your pleased with progress - the weather has improved which has probably helped the builders too!
Sounds like they are coming along well if the windows are in and the plastering is about to begin - a good sign for finishing soon.

We haven’t been back yet and will try and go the 1st/2nd week of March. We’re just letting them get on with it for the time being but they were making good progress...

I've booked another appointment to go in on the 18 of March in 3 weeks. I've told them not to rush as there is no major urgency no more due to the extensions. I don't want them to rush and not do things properly when there is no real rush. I've told them that as long as we can move before mid April I am happy.

@anteguardian hows your build coming along. Ours has been delayed by 2 weeks and to be perfectly honest I have now asked them to take their time as there is no real rush. Any indication on yours?
  • Hello @javp
Sorry - I didn’t see your post before... I’m glad yours is coming along well and that there’s no need to rush. It’s always better for people to have the time to do things properly I always think so only good can come out of a bit of extra time.
I’ve always been saying our deadline of the end of March seemed quite optimistic and it turns out that was true. They’ve given us a completion date of mid April too which I’m quite happy about. I’d rather they do it properly and when I went a few weeks ago it was going well - the heating was working atleast which was good because it was collddd 😂
