Try a different plug (even if its via an extension lead)... to rule out plug. More likely to be the TV though?0

When this happens on a TV it's almost always power supply. Or corrupt software if its Smart TV, but more likely power supply. Most TVs do not have replaceable power supplies if they connect to the wall directly via three plug kettle lead. If that's the case don't even think about taking the back off.0

Are we assuming it's a rental property with a TV in-situ ..... or maybe it's a new purchase that the former owners left behind?Chino said:
In which case, get on to your landlord to resolve the problem with your television. If your rent is supposed to include a working television, that's what your landlord should be providing.dranzer01 said:I moved into my place which came with a tv

So follow as above. Was this TV left by a previous owner/renter, or was it supplied by the landlord? Are you renting this flat/house/mansion or have you bought it?If you're renting should you be getting a TV included in that? If so, Landlord's responsibility. Otherwise, if you found it behind a sofa and there was no sign that it was meant to be there, then arrange to fix/repair/replace as appropriate.1

already there from landlord - already informed agency on friday however havent responded and wanted ot see if it can be fized somewhat for weekend watching.0

If its the landlord's responsibility to look after, they'll get round to it soon as possible. If the ceiling fell in, that's a more pressing priority. The TV won't be. You can already watch the five main channels and a bunch of others through streaming services, you obviously have internet access to be able to post on here

Is the powerline securely set in at the TV end? Once that is checked, turn the TV off with the remote power button (make sure that isn't stuck in while at it) Unplug TV for at least 30 seconds, turn on. Disconnect anything connected to the TV, in case that is causing it.
Check the sleep timer in settings.
Change remote batteries. (See if the TV stays on without them in, if it does, your remote is the problem).
If that fails, get into the settings and do a factory reset. Of course you will then have to retune it to get your stations back.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

Flats can come with a TV ? I'm guessing someone left it as it was faulty.2
