Renewing Expired Driving Licence

Hi all,

My photocard driving licence expired a few years ago and now I am looking to renew it. I have not owned nor driven a car in years, long before it expired.

I understand that I can renew it online now and wondered if anyone had experience of renewing a licence under the same circumstances? Will they hold up my application and ask why I didn't renew before now?

Since I wasn't driving, I simply didn't see the need to renew it at the time.

Is it just the photocard? Renew it as per normal.

You've not hit the 70yo expiry of your actual right to drive?

Yes just the photocard expiring. Still completely within my rights to drive otherwise.
