British Gas pay as you go phone number
Options
A friend has no electricity in her new home. Can't use previous owners top up cards as the account is closed. Can't register a new account as the website says that british gas doesn't supply the address. The phone number 0330 100 0303 just cuts off and redirects to the website - she needs to speak to someone before Monday.

First find the network operator, then the network operator's website will tell you the electricity supplier.(scroll down to the first FAQ).0

British Gas are a disgrace when it comes to contacting them. The only way apart from snail mail is the 'Chat' function when on-line. The told me that there is no functioning email for BG. All the many emails they send to me are 'no reply' and as the OP states they don't answer their phones.So her best bet is the Chat function on-line and keep a transcript of the conversation -click an envelope.1

Thanks. British Gas were definetely the supplier but their own website was denying this - ended up speaking to them on the chat function via her phone.
