Mortgage offer - structural survey

Morning!
had notification of our mortgage offer this morning - not seen the actual offer yet - could it be based on stuff like having a structural survey etc? If not and we have one, does the lender need to see the outcome of that survey? And will the solicitor need to tell them anyway?

If you arrange a survey for yourself, that is between you and the surveyor.Whether you choose to share it with your solicitor is up to you.Yes, it is possible that if it highlights an issue that the lender's solicitor (who is most likely the same as yours) thinks might affect lendability, he will inform his client - the lender.If the 'notification' (whatever that means) is of a firm mortgage offer then that suggests the lender has completed a Valuation. Whether there are conditions attached (eg a further survey or a retention for spcific works) seems ulikely or the 'notification' would have said so.1
