UTILITY WAREHOSUE?
Options
Morning,
I have been chatting to a UW sales person and considering switching and moving gas/electricity, BB and mobiles over. Just wanted some feedback from anyone who is with them? I have to make a decision by this weekend to get the £100 cash back incentive? I am aware they are slightly dearer for gas and electricity but the discounts elsewhere snd cash back seem to make up for this? Should I switch or not? Thanks

There is a very long thread already running on Utility Warehouse - Pop the name into the search panel at top of the page.Meanwhile the opinions would seem to be, that if you are are large family with a high income, and are willing to regularly spend money in the stores listed on the discount list every month, UW might be a good thing - For a small household on an average income, it is an expensive mistakeThe sign up before the week-end or lose the £100 cash back, really says it all2

Dont touch them with a bargepole.
you can get it all cheaper elsewhere and their contract lengths differ eg broadband might be 18 months or 24 months, energy 12 months, leave one lose discount. its a con0 -
The words “Utility Warehouse” and “Pyramid Scheme” often appear in the same sentence more than I’d be comfortable with.
That’s not to imply any legal wrongdoing of course, but their business model does tend to be set up to entice people in with attractive looking offers which often may end up not being so great and detrimental to get out of.You may find that you’ll get a better deal by getting each of the services individually anyway, or if their prices in future aren’t so favourable you can at least switch them away independently for better deals with no impact on your other bills.
If you know you can definitely make use of everything they’re offering for the full length of any contract with them then it might be worthwhile, but generally it’s not a company I’d go near, if nothing else than for their poor reputation and questionable sales tactics.Moo…1 -
I wouldn't touch Utility Warehouse with a very large barge pole They only offer a discount if you have more than one service with them. I once thought about going with them but as soon as I realised that the discounts only applied with more than one service from them I didn't bother.Someone please tell me what money is0
