Play our Glorious £64,000 Trivia Chase

Our fabulous new competition is fun for all the family. So if you love a riddle or can’t resist a mind tickling teaser, don’t miss our fabulous new £64,000 Trivia Chase game, which starts in the Mail this Saturday.

Following on from the irresistible Daily Mail Treasure Hunts, which 250,000 readers entered last summer, our Trivia Chase is bigger and better because you can scoop a £1,000 daily prize AND a £10,000 weekly prize.

Trivia Chase couldn’t be easier to play. In each day’s paper, we print a fiendishly fun teaser from one of six categories — Books, Geography, History, TV, Science and Sport.

Simply solve the riddle, then note down the first letter of your answer. Call or text us with that correct single letter and you will be entered into a draw for that day’s £1,000 prize. The weekly game runs from Saturday to Friday.

To be in with a chance of winning the weekly £10,000 prize, collate the first letters from your answers to each daily riddle. Your six letters will form an anagram — unscramble it using the clue in Friday’s paper and you will have your final answer. When you have your final answer, you can enter the weekly draw by phone, text or email — and you could scoop £10,000!

Trivia Chase runs for a total of four weeks from today. There are six £1,000 daily prizes each week, plus four weekly £10,000 prizes — so that’s a total of £64,000 that’s up for grabs. And if you’re stuck on one of our tricky teasers, ask friends and relatives for help because there’s nothing like a trivia quiz to bring everyone together.

Terms and Conditions: Entrants must be UK residents (excl NI) aged 18 or over. For help with this competition, call Customer Services on 0330 100 0601. Entries costs £1 per text or £1 for a premium rate phone call. You may enter by phone or text as many times as you wish. The Promotion runs from January 30, 2020, until February 26, 2020. There are six competitions for one person to win £1,000 every week for four weeks, and four weekly competitions for one person to win £10,000. Winners will be randomly selected from all eligible entries, held before 10am on the following morning (excluding Sunday). The Promoter shall notify each winner that they have won the £1,000 or £10,000 prize by phone call between 10am and midday that day. The Promoter shall attempt to call the winner three times on the telephone number provided by the winner. Failure by the winner to receive the call and accept the prize will make their claim invalid and the Promoter will then select another winner of the prize. Promoter is Associated Newspapers Limited, Northcliffe House, Derry Street, London W8 5TT. The winning entrant agrees to the Publisher’s use of their name and photograph of them at their home in relation to the Publisher’s publicity material and activities.

2022 wins- dual firepit bbq, seeds, bottle of 7up
  • Today's riddle is (see below for screenshot):
Agatha Christie went by train to the Pera Palace
And there wrote a story of murder and malice
This delightful city where East meets West
    Was once as Constaninople addressed
The category is Geography. The word is eight letters.

    Pera Palace is in Istanbul.
Istanbul used to be called Constantinople.
Lonely Planet says"This magical meeting place of East and West"

I therefore think the answer is Istanbul, the first letter therefore being I.

Thanks, where do you put the answer please?
