iht400 turnaround time

hello does anyone know what the current turnaround is for iht400 forms at hmrc?

A few months ago, from memory, it took around 5 weeks. (The estate was simple for an IHT400 case and no tax was due.)

Send the forms signed for. What I remember is calling after about 4 weeks to ask for an update, and at that time they could not even confirm they had received the forms as they had not been scanned on, but they also said that was not unusual. Told me to call back it about a week, and when I did they told me it had been completed and the letter was in the post, which it was.

Hi, we submitted 22nd  October 2020 and IHT was debited from account 31st december 2020, hope that helps?
