Underfloor Heating Tiles - Can I lay new vinyl floor over the top?

Hi,
I've recently purchased a house that uses the underfloor heating to heat up the house.
I do not like the tiles that are over the underfloor heating system and was wondering if I would be able to put vinyl flooring (that is suitable for UFH) over the the tiles? To save me from getting the tiles removed and replaced with vinyl.
I'm not sure whether it would affect the heat output of the floor significantly having a layer of vinyl on top or how I could find out - does anyone have any advice please?
Thanks in advance.

I think if you put self levelling compound over the tiles, then in theory you could just put a vinyl floor on top yes.
wouldn't just lay vinyl on top of the tiles there will be air pockets which will act as insulators, it won't heat up evenly.
is it wet or electric UFH?
