Blind/canopy which pulls out from the house and covers a large area/patio

Hello
I'd like to buy one of those blinds which can pull out from the back of the house to cover my (very hot and sunny) patio.
Does anyone have experience of buying one of these? Any ideas of good places to buy from?
I'd need it to be fitted as DIY is not my forte
I'd appreciate any pointers.

We bought a motorised awning from Hillarys (not everyone's favourite but we had a good local rep that we knew well) a few years ago, and it's worked brilliantly. https://www.hillarys.co.uk/awnings/

However, ours only comes out about 2m from the house - it's designed to shade the patio doors and the room behind, rather than the patio. If you want to shade the patio it would have to come out a lot further, and some systems can come out 3-4m max. You have to think about the angle of the sun at key times of the day - ours comes out 2m on a south-west elevation and doesn't really shade the external patio at all, but that wasn't the aim.

Depends how much you want to cover, but a motorhome awning (e.g. Flamma) can be fitted to a house.

If you need extensive coverage you will need a commercial awning,

In France we had a blind that came out from both sides of a central housing and it was great for covering an outside dining area. Lookup butterfly type awnings.

We had one on our last house, but so long ago I've no record of where bought.

It rolled out by turning a detachable handle.  Distance must have been around 8 - 10 feet and was a very good buy. Would have found it by googling 'awning' so you should try this.
