The rules for WHD for the core group for 2020/2021 state you must have qualified on July 5th 2020.
However any supplier that is part of the scheme has until March 31st 2021 to credit your account with the government funded £140.
And yes most energy companies will leave it as late as possible,my mother is with Avro and they have not credited it yet which is fair enough,but what happens if a company goes bust after the qualifying date but before crediting it to your account?
Surely the time between qualifying and it being applied to your bill should be shorter,since you are stuck with that company until its applied unless you are prepared to lose the £140 .
I do not know if the companies that recently went under were part of the scheme,

GNE were part of the scheme. Its now disappeared off their site. So not sure how EDF will know who qualifies.
I applied and it showed in progress. Now have no idea!

I applied for Warm Home discount just before GNE went bust and got an application number. No idea what happens now. Can anyone advise please.0

i wrote to green asking details about whd, after a few letters they confirmed i had successfully qualified for whd and said edf should honour it when they take over my acct0
