These people are the equivalent of ‘accident chasers’. They employ people to search Google Earth for roofs with solar; they work out your address, and they then go on a fishing expedition. I have a 11000 volt electricity pole at the bottom of my garden, I get a letter from a claims firm about once every 6 months.1

Dale77, I have a man came to the house they contacted last week informed of the claim they would take 30% of the claim which we agreed to they solicitors calledme today to go through 20 minutes worth of questions to say I had a very good claim do again I asked is it 30% for which she replied yes plus they would need to take a insurance which would cost 2k so I doubted they wanted 30% of the claim plus 2k they said they would ring back by a claims manager no one called back, but I'm now even more angry as some man came to collect all information and I asked him 3 times if there was any other costs he said no just 30%. I'm not sure what to do next as iv looked online all evening for a temp mate to claim myself but can't find anything.

As they are asking for £2k insurance I suspect your claim is weak or non existent. If you purchased them outright you have no chance.1 -

Keep_pedalling said:If you purchased your panels through a loan pushed by the solar company then you may have a claim for misspelling, but you don’t need to pursue it though these parasites, you can make your own claim at no cost via the financial ombudsman.Exactly, if there is a mis-sold financial product involved then the route to a claim is easy, but if this is simply a suggestion of mis-sold solar panels then it is a completely different problem.Keep_pedalling said:As they are asking for £2k insurance I suspect your claim is weak or non existent.
