I signed up around June and got plug power as my free share it was worth about £3. Sold it a few weeks ago for £40.. pretty good considering it didn't take long to sign up.
A problem I have noticed with using free trade is the prices are not up to date.. so you think you are buying a dip, commit to buy and find the price is out of date and you end up paying more.
Trading 212 seems to be better with more info on the shares and lets you put buy and sell limits on so you don't have to constantly monitor.
I have been using both for about 6 months now and notice they seem to have a lot of issues meaning sometimes you can't trade for a temp period, which could be very bad.. I guess these companies have to save money somewhere.
Recommend you get your free shares and use them for play about.. but if you want to invest serious money stay away.
