Gifting inheritance

I owe my sibling 14k of an inheritance.. which is in my bank account.. can I just give them the money? And because they're self employed, would that have implications? Many thanks

If you want the full legal position you need to say on what terms you came about the £28k(or what it was worth at the time).

That determines the legal status of that asset and how transferring part of it to a third party should be dealt with legally.
