Umkomaas said:The conveyor belt nature of the roboclaim ambulance chasers' processes would make me concerned that the cancellation doesn't get through to them before the Defence deadline. There system will however be primed to file for a judgment in default immediately the deadline has passed with no apparent Defence. Then there's a mess to sort out.As well as continuing with your Defence, also check the PPC's website to see what the status of your charge is. If it shows anything in your favour, take a screenshot and keep for posterity. Even then, until you hear formally that the claim is discontinued, you must carry on with your Defence.2

You could check with the court in the morning to get to know what they know. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I forwarded the MOTO replies to the CCBC email address and got a reply saying they would submit that as my defence. I replied saying I still intended to submit a full defence in advance of the deadline of 4pm on 16th February.
However on the MCOL website it is now showing defence submitted 8th Feb, defence rejected 8th Feb.
Have I made an error? The submit defence button has disappeared. My first thought is to e-mail them my full defence regardless but bit worried now.
Thanks0 -
You need to speak to them, not us, they will know the detail. We can only guess.

I would not have done this , there is a set process , they cannot interfere with that set process , so they are not set up for off piste contact like yours , the claimant is in charge and only they can issue the discontinuance
You needed to carry on with the defence until a discontinuance occurred
Hopefully they have cancelled your submission and are now awaiting your defence ?
There is nobody on here that can answer for them , they never come here to explain anything at all , so as Umkomaas pointed out , how would we know ?? You must phone them and clarify
This is the first time in 8 years I have heard of anyone doing this !! Foolish IMHO3 -

To me, it looks like the CCBC have accepted that those MOTO replies were not your Defence.
Those words "defence rejected 8th Feb" seal it for me.
Please can you show us the full Claim History copy and pasted from the MCOL website?3 -
Phew OP, you got away with one there - maybe buy a lottery ticket this week.3
