Insulating a garage

Seeking advise how to insulate a single skin brick garage comprising 1 single glazed window, roller door and wooden side door. Concrete floor.
Prefer to start with the roof. It is tiled with the black felt and joists visible from inside. Thanks

I should also mention that it would be quite damp. Nothing visible but cardboard boxes etc over time would become noticeably damp.
Pps I also noticed there are other threads in relation to this. I have read them but didn't want to hijack. If needs be can this be merged. Thx0 -
What are you intending to go with the garage space?
I had 1 half of my double garage converted into a playroom/family room. We had a double glazed window put in and a insulated board applied to the outside walls. Since there was a ceiling installed, insulation was put between the rafters and then boarded over. It's still a cold room and as we didn't extend the central heating to the room, the single electric wall fan heater barely keeps the room liveable.

I have a gym in the garage so after a few minutes exercise you don't feel the cold as much but still.
