Green Network Energy dispute resolution
Options
Hello all. I’ve just read about GNE going under. I have been in dispute with them over the past few months as the amount they initially said I would pay when I switched via this site has shot up from £80pcm to £120+ with a very significant account debit which has increased with each month I have been with them . Does anyone have an idea about how this situation is likely to be handled?

I'm afraid that the value of your D/Debit payment is just a contribution to the billing, it's not a contract that you pay this and use all the power you like.Use the amount of Energy that the D/Debit value was based on and all is well - Use more Energy and and the account is in debt.Check all the bills you have had from GNE to establish the true financial position2

You only have a valid reason for a dispute if you are being charged* at the wrong per Kw rate, or* for more units than you are usingJust because your direct debit is insufficient to cover the cost of the power you are using is not grounds for dispute - it means you need to either* increase your DD or* reduce your usageHave you been reading the meter(s) and checking that the bills are based on accurate meter readings?0
