Virgin Credit Cards - Being held to ransom over your account

Somehow I don't think you will find anyone who has had anything similar. Buy a printer and make the problem go away. Alternatively ask your boss to open the office so you can print some private documents out.0

Public libraries offer printing facilities: see if there is one open near to you.

Not sure what you're hoping for from FOS - they may slap Virgin's wrists and get them to pay you some tokenistic compo, but it seems unlikely to me that they'd do anything about the interest and late payment charges, plus associated damage to your credit files, given your contribution to the problems (starting with not advising them of a change of address, as you're obliged to). I'm not saying it's all self-inflicted and agree that they shouldn't have to look too hard to find fault with Virgin's actions, but suspect that it'll all be something of a pyrrhic victory if by the middle of the year you get £50 and a trashed credit history....0

The long card number doesn’t change. It’s only the card expiry and 3 digit security code that differs when you get a new card. So it will be absolutely correct to use the long card number on the card you have as the payment reference.PatKeyboard said:I cannot pay via bank transfer - as mentioned to a previous message, the only card I have is expired. I was just paying off the account, not actively using the card. So I would feel uncomfortable using that number as a reference.0 -
That’s not quite right. I recently got a replacement card following fraudulent transactions on my card, and the long number is completely new.mab3000 said:

As does a faster payment, for me anyway.
Following a fraudulent transaction Halifax changed my card number.
I rarely use it - and make a manual payment in full from my bank account. I forgot to change the payee details initially and the payment still went through.0 -
Can virgin not send you a DD form and set up min payment or set amount covering min payment?
On a different note:
I have a Virgin Credit Card, when I opened it, | mistakenly put down wrong DOB (click box with numbers, I hit wrong one and never noticed) Cant remember why, but I eventually noticed it was wrong, called Virgin to rectify, I need to send a letter explaining, copy of passport/birthlines, proof of address and a letter from a doctor or someone in authority who can vouch who I am, needless to say I still have wrong DOB with them.
What puzzles me is how I got CC in first place with wrong DOB?

I would assume whilst all of this is ongoing you are still incurring interest etc and possibly locked out of your account? This is my main issue - forced, ridiculous requirements which are obviously difficult and time consuming in the background of a pandemic. This is what I want the ombudsman to raise on my behalf at least because I think it's exploitative and using the guise of account security to exponentially raise bills for customers.dld2s said:Can virgin not send you a DD form and set up min payment or set amount covering min payment?
