Hi
mrs lost her rings at some point this week. She lost them in the house but has no idea where. We have tipped the whole place upside down and cant find them
Should I be starting to look at an insurance claim for this??

First of all check that your policy actually covers "loss" within the household, its not a common peril to be covered.
When does she last recall having them? Is it realistic that she threw them away by accident? Rings make an awful noise if hovered up so unlikely you dont notice it.0 -
If they were valuable then the insurance company will be looking for receipts or jeweller valuationsEx forum ambassador

She might have taken them off to wash hands.

Yes checked the traps and all the books and crannies
she remembers putting them on the day she lost them.I also tried looking for jewellery valuation but can’t find it - it was 13 years ago.....eek !!0 -
You won't get a penny just saying you've lost them; otherwise a lot of people would be trying that wheeze. If you genuinely lose a ring outside the house then I think you are required at least to report it to the police and get a report number; its some protection against an easy fraud.
