I have received a demand from the above for £160 unpaid private land parking fine. The fine is 5yrs old. Can I ignore this "notice of debt recovery"?

DCB Limited or DCB Legal? Which one?
Which parking firm?
Have you read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky yet? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

We need more info before we can answer the question
Read the sticky thread , third one down in announcements at the top of the forum
Read other DCBL threads too , so you can see what info was given and what the replies were1 -
Surely it tells you whether it's Limited or Legal on the letterhead? That will be an indicator as to whether you need to immediately deal with this, and the seriousness of how things stand.DavidBur said:

Doesn't their letter tell you which parking firm they are writing on behalf of ('their 'client')?
I think all you want us to tell you is to ignore this and it will all go away. I can assure you it won't. Deal with it by trying to give us answers to the questions we are asking - to start things off on a working footing. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. It's Limited, just says on behalf of their client. Sorry if I appear a bit vague I'm not used to any of this. I just need advice that's all.Umkomaas said:

How many days warning ? 14 days or 30 days with financial forms ?
Who is their client ? Ukpc ? Who ?1 -
DCB Limited are not dangerous, and if you can confirm that there isn't a 30-day deadline for your response, then you can ignore this letter only. But this hasn't gone away, and it won't be long before it rises up spitting and snarling in your face, this time fronted by DCB Legal, and on its way to a court hearing. Do not complacently fall asleep on this. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I'm thinking of just paying as its not worth the stress to be honest. But I'll wait 2 weeks. Thank you for your advice.Umkomaas said:DCB Limited are not dangerous, and if you can confirm that there isn't a 30-day deadline for your response, then you can ignore this letter only.
