Is there anything I can do to get EDF to change my prepayment meter to a standard meter?

During lockdown?
They've stopped doing meter work unless its an emergency, using COVID as the excuse.
I moved into my flat in December 2020.
The gas was with EON. They wouldn't replace the meter as I failed the credit check, goodness knows how or why. So I switched to EDF as they don't run a credit check. The gas supply has only just registered fully so I can get the meter changed to a standard or smart meter now, if it wasn't for covid.
The electricity is already on a smart meter with EDF, I'm on their expensive standard tariff.
The Gas I'm on their cheapest pre pay deal, which costs a whopping 35p ish per day just for the standing charge.
It's ridiculously expensive and I'm furloughed so urgently wish to get the meter changed to move onto a cheaper tariff, maybe with another supplier depending on rates.
Is there anything I can do or say to EDF to get an engineer out to change the meter?
Thanks!

Out of curiosity what date did your gas switch complete and what date did EDF show as your supplier on the National database?

Not too quick then! As you have two issues with EDF - see my comment on your IHD thread, you could try lumping the two together and tackle them that way. (I assume it will be a "smart" gas meter as you already have smart electric).
