    You argued with me, quite vehemently, that this was wrong, when I echoed exactly the same advice from Freebear a few weeks ago.   To the point of raising it to tell me that I was talking 'utter nonsense' on an unrelated thread. 

    Your neighbour still has a duty of care to your building and should be trying to avoid it becoming damp. They should be doing exactly what Freebear suggests.  

    Have you tried talking to your neighbour about this and explaining why, rather than starting a fourth thread?
