Windows Admin Name - How to change?

Options
Hi,
My wife has just set up a new laptop and the admin name is that of her daughters - how do you change this?
I have no idea how this has happened, I have managed to change everything in the Microsoft account online so her DOB and email are right but cannot work out how to change the admin name, tried Googling etc.
It's Windows 10.  We also get an unknown phone number popping up when it asks for extra security, you know when it wants to send an SMS confirmation and we don't know where that number is stored either.
Thanks for any help.

Maybe you should advise the OP why you're telling them to do this. You usually at pains to tell everyone not to complicate matters for the "non techies" on this board, so you may want to explain things when you advise them to do something different.

A lot of W10 users are more than happy to use the MS account.

Does it sound as if the OP is happy using an MS account? No need for an explanation. All very simple.
Though of course you are welcome to explain whatever you think needs explaining, concisely. The floor is yours.

The OP simply wants change the name, as simple as that. They made absolutely no indication they were unhappy about using a MS account login. If you think they're wrong in that or would be better off doing otherwise the onus is on you to explain that to them, as any helpful, fellow member of this forum would do.

So currently the account is in your Wife's name and you want to change it to your Daughter's or are your trying to change the name back to your wife's. The number that it wants to send an SMS to will be the phone number attached to whichever MS account you used to set up and login to the laptop.
