A bit late now but ... did it not occur to you to update their (court, PPC and legal co.) records with your new address after the LBC/claim was first received?
Good luck for today.Jenni x2 -
Thanks to those that helped - I won! The judge kept making reference to my witness statement (I definitely didn’t do one!) but it must have been for another case and he was confused somehow, so whoever did that witness statement did me a massive favour! Their solicitor was bumbling and incoherent, and couldn’t answer any of the judges questions. They hadn’t included the NTK in their pack etc etc. Judge questioned how the charges were made up a lot, of which the solicitor couldn’t explain how the company had come to those figures.
Overall I think I got lucky today, and a different judge and a better solicitor and I wouldn’t have been so lucky!9 -
From what I have gathered, thrir solicitor was par for the course. They have wasted your time, consider wasting some of theirs, read this

No, while I know it’s possible for a judge to award LIP costs, I didn’t ask for anything, I just wanted it to be over as quick as possible before the judge realised his mistake. He made lots of reference to a flat car park & visitor permit that I had discussed in my witness statement (neither which were relevant to my case or mentioned in my defence - my ticket was for a private no parking road, and I didn’t even do a witness statement!) so I thought if it dragged on any longer there was a chance they would realise the error (the solicitor for the other side hadn’t noticed it, nor that I hadn’t done the witness statement!) so I’m happy that I got off scot free, particularly as I don’t have any defence for it - I parked there fully aware I wasn’t allowed, it was just in an area that is so infrequently patrolled I thought I’d get away with it!4

Here we have yet another judge asking how the charges were made up ? that's good.
A car crash for DCBL .. FANCY trying to charge £180 for a Mr Bumble to act for them ?
It still amazes us that these legals send what they call an advocate to court who knows nothing ?

Glad that it worked out well but be careful in future as it is a lottery and it sounds as if you were very lucky with the DJ lottery.

I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Well done and thanks for letting us know.
