Ethical ISAs with FSCS protection

I am looking for an recommendations on ethical ISAs with FSCS protection.
As a family we are trying to invest responsibly for our children's futures. It seems a lot of ethical ISAs are more lip service with companies like HSBC (still investing in oil) and Amazon (wage & tax issues) being featured.
I did like the look of the Triodos offerings but they are not covered by FSCS.
Any suggestions to look into are appreciated. Thanks.

By ISA you will need to clarify which type you are talking about (cash, stocks and shares etc). I’m assuming stocks and shares as you talk about investing - investing (of any sort) involves risk to capital.
To the best of my knowledge Triodos cash ISA will be covered by FSCS compensation scheme.Their Stocks and Shares and IF involve investment risk and FSCS doesn’t protect against investments losing money.0 -
Although with Triodos, you are dealing with a long established company , so would be very unlikely that would be any issues , like fraud etc.
As above no stocks and shares ISA with any provider , is covered for investment losses.0 -
Thanks for your comments.
Yes stocks and shares ISA, and yes Triodos Cash ISA is covered by the FSCS.
I understand that investment losses are not covered.

Any suggestions to look into are appreciated. Thanks. What do you think "covered by FSCS " means?Ah OK I see you know it doesn't cover investment losses. So why not focus on an ethical investment of which there must be hundreds, within an ordinary ISA, rather than try to pick an Ethical ISA which is nothing more than an ordinary ISA that no doubt restricts you to a very limited set of ethical investments ?(all values of 'ethical' relative of course)0 -
I am looking for an recommendations on ethical ISAs with FSCS protection.Virtually all investment platforms meet that criteria. The ethical side is not on the tax wrapper (i.e. ISA) but the investments you place in the ISA. So, whole of market investment platforms will allow you to pick your investments.
It looks like you are considering some non-mainstream options and that probably isn't advisable if you don't know what you are doing. FSCS is far more important when you move away from the mainstream. It has little relevance in the mainstream though.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.1
