Huge Delay on Delivery

I bought an item online in November for Christmas only to be told a few days later from the (well known) retailer that it won't be available until late January. I have just received an email to say now it won't be available from the manufacturer until April. They took my money on 17th November (£290). I still want the item but am I entitled to any partial refund due to it being delivered so late? When I bought it in November, there was no indication on the website that there was any delay at all. Thanks for any advice.
