Insurance scam? RCIB/Close brothers

Please advise, I am so stressed.
I purchased car insurance online through a comparison website. Best deal was with Right Choice Insurance Brokers. Happy, I signed up. Monthly payments via close brothers "premium" credit. Now...after cover started, I got a letter (email only) stating that the insurer needed validation and they would contact me. They didn't and have now sent me a 7 day cancellation notice. Fine, but this detailed no fees or costs. So now I accept the cancellation however the finance is still in place. Do I need to enact s section 75 claim, and what if the finance company (who have some very bad reviews) don't respond to my section 75 request. I am so angry at myself for getting involved with these small third rate companies. Do I just pay them off and write off 400 quid??
Any advice welcome.

The validation letter has a number you can call them.
The seven days letter, you can still call them and submit documents in time
Work hard and quick to avoid a cancelled policy as that may impact future premiums.0 -
What would your S75 claim be for?
Your original policy will state the cancellation charges, the cancellation notice doesnt have to repeat these.0 -

Did it give ways to pre-emptively provide it (it can surely not have been a surprise you'd need to do so?), without waiting for the contact?
Did that contact also come via email, and perhaps end up in your spam folder?
Have you now provided the "validation"?
Or are you having a bit of buyer's remorse and want to get your insurance off somebody else instead...?

Don't just let the 7 day cancellation notice run out.
Do something about it. Call RCIB on 01708 336 519.
They will want proof of NCB plus driving license check code for all drivers.
Call them TODAY0 -
Im with RCIB and they request the driving license DVLA codes for each driver - which is very easy for you to sort out. Check your junk email or call them as soon as possible - as already suggested you definitely dont want them to cancel a policy as this may affect any insurance you take out from now onwards.0

My brother was with them. IIRC it was for his bike but I'm not 100% on that.
Getting signed up with them was a ballache. Once done he didn't have to claim so never needed to 'bother them' again. Swiftly left once the 12 months was up because if claiming was anything like signing up then it'd just be another PITA.0 -
They are also the parent company (I believe of Auto Aid), so cover your vehicle, could it be that?Sometimes I wonder...
"why is that frisbee getting bigger?"
...and then it hits me
