Morning all, blimey it feels cold again despite it being 3 degrees.I don't know what to do today except put a load in the wm and portion up the leftover lamb casserole to go into the freezer. It was delicious, just what the Dr ordered for yesterday and I think I'll have some for my tea again today. Mr Fix It isn't a fan, he'd happily just have a lump of meat daily, perhaps he was a cave man in one of his previous livesThis afternoon I will clean the kitchen floor again, it was done on Sunday after I dropped the full roasting tin while taking it out of the oven but this morning I can still see smears.Don't know what year I will get my jab as I'm in wave 5, Mr Fix It should be in wave 2, but then we have the WAG organising things ! We seemingly live in the tortoise republic Anyway we have decided that until we have both had the 2 parts we won't contemplate going out and about.TA good news about your jab. Many hugs coming your way when you sort out the clothes, hold on to those lovely memoriesNelski lots of hugs to you my BFF. PM me if you need to.RedRuby fingers crossed about the dressing and it's good that the nurse will see your DB, hopefully pain meds can be given.AOD thought I was the only one who could do that sort of falling over !Lots of other people I wanted to reply to but apologies as I've now forgottenTake care all, stay safe, hugs to the poorly ones, family members and anyone having a difficult time.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently13

Nelski - I did think of selling the tins but really CBA. I'm not into selling online so I have kept back two lovely old tins and took the rest to the tip along with the other stuff. It's enough stress trying to get things out of the house.I took my car to K-F again and this time the chap took the wheel off and checked for punctures, nothing. Seems that the cold weather is triggering the tyre pressure monitoring system even though the pressures are fine. I can live with the problem until the car goes for service in three weeks, at least I know that the tyre is OK.Nan - love the sound of your lamb casserole, I much prefer lamb to beef.I'm off to make ratatouille and maybe Mexican Tortilla too. DM isn't too well and isn't eating much, think it's a little bug which should soon get flushed out.Hope that everyone is holding up still.12

Hi all,
TA, well done you. When mum died we cleared the house in just a few days - had to really as 3 of my brothers took the week off (the 4th didn't come near), it would have taken months otherwise. I wear her wedding ring every day.
Same old, same old here, although Laura is worried because she found out an alarm has been going off in the house next door to theirs and she's afraid that people have mixed it up and it is really their alarm going off. Hopefully more news later.13 -
Snoozer I too wear my Mum's wedding ring, it's on my other hand middle finger as my fingers are very small. It will be 7 years just after Valentines Day since she passed very suddenly and I just wish we all could have had the time to say goodbye It took me and DD 5 years to get Dad to part with her clothes, some still had the tags on, they all ( 11 bags ) went to the cs.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently12

Afternoon all! Blummin cold. I let the fire go out last night because it said it was going to be six degrees today, but they lied and it's 3. SO the fire has just been lit again. I'm doing the jigsaw in the other half of the room and it is quite cold in that part. The jigsaw is going slowly. I take a photo every day to see progress and there are a few more bits placed roughly where they should go every day. I might be finished by March...SO that's my plan today, do jigsaw, get warm, make polpetti after with some coleslaw and maybe sweetcron, or tracer food as Oh calls it because it comes out the same way it went in...tmi?TA, good luck with that. We haven't cleared my mothers clothes or my fathers and they both put all my grans clothes in the attic too. I have a ring my mother bought off gypsies when she was young. I liked the story behind the ring, the lady told her she'd never be without money when she had it and as it's made of out money, lira pieces, she never was it's the only jewellery I wear. AOD, yep, generalised infectious angst sounds about right. Nels, I'm sorry, it's a !!!!!! when you have to accept your body won't do what it's told to do, doesn't stop the railing against it though [you=general you]. Hugs. Nanny, hope your not too injured still, maybe a michelin suit is necessary? Sorry you can't get your cough sorted too. Hope your knee is OK now camelot. Hope you're all having an afternoon of indolence and lady lounging on chaise wotsits....Shampoo? No thanks, I'll have real poo...12

Best part of the day disappeared on me again, not much to show from it, but loaf made in bread machine, larder and fridges checked and on-line order placed with A*da for tomorrow, just realised that have not indicated the no subs boxes, doh have until tonight, must remember.
There has been a lot of chat on our Craft and Natter Whatsap today, someone posted that they don't ever remember feeling so low. She is a mere youngster (50) incredibly energetic, a heart as big as a house, a brilliant mum to a big grown up family, friend to so many, she sort of opened the floodgates to lots more of us actually expressing how we feel instead of putting on that brave face! It is actually fine to save we are not alright, but rarely feel we can do so.
It would be my Ddads birthday today, I have sent flowers to mum this morning, funnily she phoned earlier so I told her to wait for a surprise.
Thinking of TA, Nelski, ruby and family and many more not named.
Stay safe. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)11 -
Another one here wearing my mother's wedding ring and my grandmother's wedding ring. I feel incredibly close to both of them.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Have trouble remembering how to fly.8
