Totally agree kinger101 but when I have put this view previously it has been very unpopular with those who make child SIPP contributions. It would really be at the bottom of my list for how to help our kids once all other allowances were used.

pensions
ISAs
junior ISAs
junior SIPPs

Yes although for estate planning purposes there may be a point at which you might want to switch into moving assets into your children's name at which point a child SIPP could be useful.0
