From last week, over 70s & CEV are receiving invitations but is there any order? Eg, are the over 70s being sent for first and then the CEV or are they mixing it up? I know of quite a few in my area ( Cheshire) of over 70s that have been vaccinated but none of those are CEV.

There is/will be an order - we just don't know what it is0

It will be your turn when it's your turn.
No point trying to second guess when that will be.

it will depend where they are getting it, what supplies have come in and how many staff they have available.
Since that is organised locally it will be different for each area.
CEV may be getting done at home to avoid them having to go to a centre. That will be organised separately, and again will depend on what staff are available to go out to do it and transporting the vaccine.
Does it matter who gets it first.
You could argue that CEV are at less risk as not going out compared to the 70 year old who has to go for shopping

I'm 70 and my daughter is in the clinically vulnerable group but we've heard nothing yet. Our GP surgery will be calling us, as and when. We're just continuing to self-isolate. Happy to wait really. Friends in different parts of my city have already had a jab but are even older than me, if that's possible. . . We're in South Yorkshire. It all seems a bit random but there could well be some method to it. I've no idea what it is, if so.
P.S. I'm not sure how you can know that none of the over-70s who have had a jab are CEV, unless you've seen their medical records. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. That would be wrong as plenty of CEV are having to go to hospital for treatments, tests, xrays, scans, etc. We went to our local hospital last week for a meeting with OH's oncologist as they're about to start treatment again. We had to wait an hour in a tiny cramped waiting area (no ventilation) with a constant stream of people coming in for blood tests. Then when we were finally called into the consulting room, it was tiny, there was also an observer (trainee GP), and we were in there too for about an hour (again no ventilation). We've never felt so much at risk. Tomorrow, it's off for an MRI scan, Friday, it's off to a different hospital fir first session of chemo. Saturday, it's to the football stadium for the covid jab. So, it's wrong to say the CEV are "not going out". They need their jabs as much, if not moreso, than 70+ year olds who don't need so many medical appointments.sheramber said:You could argue that CEV are at less risk as not going out compared to the 70 year old who has to go for shopping2 -

A lady I know who is CEV has been bumped up the list because of the need to go to hospital for treatment. The consultant told her to contact the GP to be prioritised. Without the hospital treatment she’d have stayed on the waiting list with everyone else. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
89 year old MIL is getting hers next Monday - appointment confirmed today. Unlike the OP she's not getting worked up about why she hasn't been vaccinated sooner.Torry_Quine said:Many over 80s haven't had theirs yet1
