It's with SSE so it does feel expensive - I've looked at switching but doesn't seem that much cheaper and it's been difficult to gauge because the bill was all over the place! Was thinking of switching to Bulb!0

Was thinking of switching to Bulb!Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

Switch' websites and compare annual costs.Use 3000kWh as a rough guess if you really can't find a bill showing a meter reading from a year ago. (Have you checked your online account?)0

I posted a very similar thread yesterday, the cost is soul destroying isn't it
It hasn't been too much of an issue for us in the past because we have learned how to minimise usage but with a significantly reduced income, we are really feeling the pinch at the moment even with the usage being stingy.

Thanks to everyone mentioning actual readings - I have been giving actual readings, it's just that the usage seemed to have jump so much! Bulb seemed to be the cheapest option in my area on comparison sites. I only have electricity so I guess that's why it's so much! Thanks for all your help!0
