PAYG to DD

Sorry if I sound thick but I don’t know much in relation to energy.

I would like to move from PAYG to monthly DD. Is this an easy process?

Do they conduct a credit check? I’m just on my way to rebuilding a good credit history.

What happens to the credit on my current meter?

EDF don't require a credit check.

depends on your meter type, you'll either have to have a new meter fitted if you're on a standard PAYG meter, or if you have a smart meter you just phone them and they'll swap you over and put the meter in to credit mode remotely, if you meet whatever criteria they have.
