Furlough Advice Please

Hello everyone, I'd really appreciate any help or suggestions regarding my situation.
I started at my current employer on the 19th November. Unfortunately the company has had to close because of covid, and has put the staff on Furlough. It is a small family run business, no more than 6 employees.
However, because I started on the 19th November, I have been told I cannot be furloughed and that I'll have to claim Universal Credit.
Is this correct? When is the next furlough review? If it is extended again, would I be able to claim?
Before this job, I was doing odd days here and there for a job agency (temping). They refuse to re-employ me, just to furlough me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Sadly, your employer is correct and the previous employer is under no obligation to re-employ just to furlough.
UC is the most likely help available. You may be eligible for nJSA.
No point speculating about future changes to furlough.1 -
You'd have needed to be on payroll by 30/10/20, so about 3 weeks too late unfortunately. No free lunch, and no free laptop
