Power cut compensation
Last week we had a power cut lasting 2 days I lost 2 days from work as I should have been working from home and a freezer and fridge full of food.
I have been told that we are entitled to £75 compensation, which will help a little and that i have to claim, when I rang them they said I would automatically receive it. Has anyone ever received this and how long did it take thanks?

Freezer will last more than two days with no power .

Have you checked your home insurance regarding the freezer.
Most contents insurance cover it but it's worth checking if there's an excess to pay and whether it will affect any NCD that you've accumulated (now or in the future) as the consequential cost of claiming could work out more expensive than the food you've lost.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers1
