One loan payment left, then that payment will be shared between the three credit cards. I am going to commit to paying £6 extra to one of the cards each month so that I can keep a nice round number. 13 months until I'm debt free and can start saving properly.

I'm so impatient at this point of the month, waiting for my dmp statement to catch up and of course waiting for payday and my next payments to be done. I've made a £6 payment to cc2 ready for the next month to keep a nice round number for total debt.I've got two family birthdays next month which will make my budget tight. There is also a 2 week school holiday which means less money for afterschool club but more to entertain the kidsThe last payment will be made on my loan on the 1st and then all of my payments will be recalculated to allow for the extra £193.26. Sometimes I feel like I'm wishing away my life but I'll be so much happier when I've got some savings behind me and can plan better for the future.Mortgage free 2021Debt free 2024

Three days until my final loan payment and I'm feeling in a good place, watching each debt drop off and still managing to save ahead for Christmas and holidays so I dont get into further debt feels great.I feel like I'm finally being a grown-up and no longer burying my head in the sand.Should have more to save come September as the eldest starts high school which means no more after school club for him which currently costs around £150 a month. Some of that will be spent on a phone contract for him and a little extra pocket money but I expect to have over £100 extra to put into savings or pay off debt. I'll do a new budget then and decide my priorities.Mortgage free 2021Debt free 2024

I decided to pay £30 extra off cc1bringing it to 4123.62. My main payment will be delayed until Monday with the first being a Saturday so on Monday balances will becc1. 3083.84Cc2. 287.96Cc3. 1698.20Loan. 0Total 5970The total is no longer a round number but each of the balances has reduced into the next 100 and most importantly the loan has now gone yippee. A great start to a 2 week break, now I just need to get to grips with the budget so that a 2 week break doesn't make me struggle for the last 2 weeks. All Easter eggs have been bought so the bunny will visit soon. Looking forward to spending time with family. Also just realised I'm now under £6000 so should be debt free in 12 months!Mortgage free 2021Debt free 2024

The payment has cleared and signature has been updated accordingly.Easter holidays got off to a spendy start with a shopping trip with the boys as well as a birthday cake and ingredients for a special meal. Have some cash in my purse so I'm going to try to make it through to next week without using my debit card if possible a couple of NSDs would be nice and if I can make it to next week without using my card I'll make a little extra overpayment on cc3. Standard payments will increase slightly this month to take in to account the loan now being paid off.Today's tasks1 do not spend money2 make some soup3 clean the kitchen4 tidy the bedroom5 visit the folks.Busy day planned so best get a move on. Managed 2,3 and 5. Realised the carrots I had were beyond salvaging even for soup so had to go and buy some, grabbed the other things I needed for the weeks groceries whilst I aas there to avoid another shopping trip.
Didn't tidy the bedroom but did tackle the cupboard under the stairs instead and reorganise some of the kitchen cupboards.
Tomorrow will be a small spend on crusty rolls to go with the soup, still money saving as a friend is coming for lunch instead of buying food out. Then running in the evening so a £1 spend for subs.
Friday will be fish and chips but hopefully will send DH for them.Mortgage free 2021Debt free 2024

Having managed a few cheap days with the kids, visiting the park and taking our own drinks I've decided to pay an extra £30 off cc3, I'm now £18 away from bringing my dfd a month earlier so will keep chipping away.A trip away next weekend will be a little spendy as it's a birthday treat for DH and Ds1. All budgeted for 🤞.Aiming for as low spends possible until then but need a birthday present to take to a party and a cinema trip is planned for Monday.Mortgage free 2021Debt free 2024

Posting here to keep myself accountable. Impulsively have booked a city break for next April for my Hubby's 0 birthday, he spoilt me rotten for mine. I know this will make things tighter as I'm already saving spends for a big family holiday this year but at the moment I'm spending a lot on littlthings I can easily cut out. I have spread the cost over 12 months so £120 to budget per month or £30 a week. I normally allow myself around £100 a week to spend on essentials such as petrol, swimming lessons and petrol and spend the rest however I want. This will reduce down to £70 which is enough as long as I rein in the impulse buys.
Looking forward to more family time in the next year as I get closer to my dfd.
Small spend yesterday on a gift for a party. Today should be a NSD.Mortgage free 2021Debt free 2024
