Haven - No quibble refund

Hi,

I am thinking of booking a caravan holiday with Haven (Weymouth Bay) in August 2021. However, it is such a long time from now and difficult to know how the pandemic will look like at that time. I have looked at the terms and conditions of their No quibble refund guarantee, as follows:

Our Haven Promise means you're covered if:

1. We can't offer the full experience you booked including activities, entertainment and facilities

2. The park has to close

3. The UK Government restricts travel

4. You can't travel, or don't feel safe travelling

Can I ask how do you interprete clause 4 above?

So if I decide to change my mind, for whatever the reason, whether I simply don't feel safe to go to Haven, can I just cancel it and get full refund? Do you think I need to provide evidence of any kind to get full refund? It is not clear to me if there is any time restriction to ask for refund? i.e. does it need to be before x days before arrival date etc? I find it difficult to know if I can definitely get refund, if I book it now, but want to have the flexibility to cancel if required.

    The Coronavirus Book with Confidence Guarantee is free of charge and automatically applies to all existing and new bookings for 2021, you don't need to do anything. In relation to Coronavirus you are covered for the following

    1. We can't offer the full experience you booked

    I need to claim against the guarantee, what do I do?

    All you need to do is call us on 0333 202 5250 at any point within the guarantee change window which is between 28 days and 3 days prior to arrival and you can:

    1. Transfer your holiday to new dates in 2021, free of charge*

    2. If you don't know your new dates, we will apply your original booking payment against a future break, again free of charge*

    3. Cancel your booking and receive a full no quibble refund

    Just call us on 0333 202 5250 during the guarantee change window period and our team will be delighted to help you.

    Thanks Sheramber. However, anyone has experience of cancellation with them? if I ring them to cancel between 28 days and 3 days before arrival, will they able to cancel and refund?

    They wouldn't be offering the guarantee if they had no intention of honouring it.

    But if you so distrusting of them is it worth  it?

    Cancel 3 day's before and a full refund - what's not to like ?

    Stayed at one once, was like being in a PoW camp, with the roughest 'pub' imaginable onsite - and I thought Pontins was grotty!

    I was referring to the refund policy not the aesthetic qualities of the experience or ambience you are likely to encounter  :D

    Hello, if you see this I had one booked for October last year with the guarantee. Decided not to go as family couldnt go to their caravans so would have just been me. Phoned them up, cancelled, refund within 7 days. Excellent service to be fair 
    An answer isn't spam just because you don't like it......
