Meter

Hello,
we used to be on economy 7 tariff but since feb 2020 we have had central heating fitted,
should we change our meter standard meter, would we have been paying more for our electricity all this time.

    Welcome to the forum.
Assuming you're using gas, LPG, oil or a heat pump for the CH, you're probably better off with single rate electricity.  However, you don't need to change the meter, many suppliers will happily charge the same rate for both registers, but not Bulb.
Just enter your annual consumption derived from actual meter readings into some comparison sites starting with Citizens Advice and 'Which? Switch'.  Do two comparisons, one for E7, one for single rate (say you don't have an E7 meter).
Remember that separate suppliers are often cheaper than dual fuel.
