    My friend is living in an AirBNB whilst waiting for her purchase to complete having sold her house in November. The landlady is grateful for the regular income as doesn't have a booking from anybody else until August.

    Thanks for the advice and ideas. 
    I’ve tried open rent and managed to get one viewing set up but everything else was let.
    I’ll have a look on air bnb. Thank you.

    Just catching up

    Don't really have any practical advice as we don't have pets, but I do know how difficult (impossible?) it can be to find short term rental if you don't fit a landlord's 'ideal tenant' template.
    Hope you get something sorted soon. In the meantime, do whatever it takes to keep yourself functioning.

    Don't worry about your cats, they get free food and that's all they care about really.

    Just keep looking for a temporary rental and/or home to buy.  I was once in a desperate situation, purchased a home within a couple of months.  5 hrs a day of searching, but it paid off.  There's two of you, so try allocating 2 hrs each per day to searching.  You'll be fine.

    Have you looked at an air bnb rental for the time being? I know we can’t book holidays but you are needing a residence which I believe is in the rules. Good luck
