I don’t have pictures but I have a witness and they didn’t take any pictures either so is it on me to prove it or they have to prove it wasn’t there when I bought it? I’m pretty sure that the rules are they have to prove it not me.
  • There should have been a record have you tried wbac or a local dealer for a price as that might be more straightforward, sell the car and pay off the finance.

The finance company owns the car so why not ask them what your options are?
I know what my options are my question was not about options it’s about the wear and tear that was already present when I purchased the car.
Irrelevant as you already said you paid less initially due to existing damage
Your arguments make no sense at all.
The OP bought that particular car because it was cheap, because it was battered and scuffed when they bought it.
If they now get hit for a bill of hundreds of pounds in repairs when it's handed back, they are left in a position as if they had bought a pristine car and taken no care of it.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

Thank you someone finally understand me. I know that there are options but I already explored them all and this is the only one that should leave me with nothing more to pay and I feel like I am the guilty one here. I took great care of the car but as the damages where barely cosmetic I didn’t mind them and I shouldn’t have to fix them as that was not it’s condition when purchased.
