Perhaps you shouldn't bother applying to anyone else if you now have two hard searches, it's really up to you.
Thanks so much for your advice finalfantasist
So i just got a full credit report from experian just now and it looks like I have a recently activated new account of £420 which caused my credit score to drop a bit. I switched car insurance last month to get a better deal, so I've only paid for the first month and the next month is going out tomorrow.
Do I wait 1-3 months to show that I'm paying the car insurance as normal as they seem to have put it as a moderate risk as its a freshly opened account from last month. You reckon if I start applying for credit cards now it might go against me given the new account thats been opened?0 -
Insurance really has no bearing on anything. You should wait 6 months before applying for another credit card with 2 hard searches for one on your file now.obloquy said:finalfantasist said:You could apply to anyone.

Unless you're paying Experian for their credit monitoring service you won't see up to the minute data on there.obloquy said:I see. Its weird, the barclays application search appears on my report for TransUnion, but doesn't appear on my search with experian1 -
Barclaycard have really tightened up credit during the pandemic - there are lots of stories on here of people getting their credit limits slashed. It is also possible the reapplying thing messed up the Barclaycard application.1
