Trying to use an override number when calling a BT VIP number

Some people I know have me on a select list of BT VIP numbers. The problem is I don't think you can contact them using a 18185 override number via BT. With the override on front the system will treat it as a non VIP number. Has anyone found a way around this? Has anyone used the VIP system and added the 08081703703 override in front?

I assume that what happens is that your CLI is not presented correctly because your call is being routed via the override provider. In which case the issue is with the override provider who is handling you call.0

I've placed a query ticket with 18185 on this. It's important because otherwise I'll be paying 20p a minute. Most of the competitive phone/Broadband contracts exclude free calls, so the use of 18185 is important. I only have a PAYG mobile which is even more expensive per minute.0
