Bought a PC online

Hello everyone,
I recently bought a PC online on the 12th, it was delivered on the 15th. After a few days I realised the specs were not as described. The RAM was supposed to be 3200 instead of 3000(pre upgrade). The PC I received was 2933Mhz. If I have read correctly am I covered by the online distance selling rules? If so when do I notify them of me wanting a refund? How long do I have to return it and how long does the supplier(Palicomp) have to process my refund?
Regards
E

How much was the item and how did you pay. Where is the seller based (which country). What did they say when you contacted them?0

Have you checked in bios that XMP is on?1

If it's not as described then you don't even need to rely on the distance selling "change of mind" rules, the standard distance-or-not rules apply.

Faster RAM is good for benchmarks but has little impact on day-to-day operations ... it is a bit like bragging a Porsche is faster than a Yugo - it probably is on a race track but both are the same speed in rush hour traffic. Maybe they were unable to get the correct RAM so fitted the best they could (and RAM prices can fluctuate a lot), or maybe they just made a mistake. I am sure they will sort it out for you.I don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0

Palicomp is (or used to be) in Crewetheonlywayisup said:How much was the item and how did you pay. Where is the seller based (which country). What did they say when you contacted them?
Looks to be £32 difference on the Vengeance LPX Ram for 16GB - check your order and invoice - double check what you ordered and what you were invoiced for
As stated - speak to them - if there is an error they should be able to resolve it

OP worth posting the specs here just in case of any confusion .

As already stated, you need to turn on the XMP in bios. You don't get 2933mhz ram, you have to set it in bios, the ram will be correct but they should have donee this for you in a pre built system.
Have you checked the labels on the ram sticks?0
