Scottish Power Refer a Friend £100 offer

Has anyone used the Scottish Power friend switch referral (£100 each for referrer and referred, dual fuel, or £50 each for single fuel)? I am an existing Scottish Power customer (the referral link is on my account overview page), but when phoned to get a new customer quote on behalf of an elderly family member, and then mentioned the referral offer I was told by the advisor that we weren't eligible for the payment as part of the switch. I've checked the Terms and Conditions and I think they are wrong.

Quote, sign up and switch has to be done through Personalised link that you have got, also tariffs that are offered via friend referral link are more expensive than best SP tariff via comparison site, might be reason why advisor said not eligible for the payment as part of the switch, might have been offering a cheaper tariff than is offered via friend referral link.

Thanks, I suspected that might be the case. I'll try the personalised link and compare tariffs.1

I have just signed up through a link from my cousin. I have been able to send a link to two friends. My question is will I get the payment from my own referral even though my switch has not completed yet?0

My question is will I get the payment from my own referral even though my switch has not completed yet?Terms say 11 "Once the Referred Individual has successfully transferred their gas and/or electricity supply to ScottishPower and receives their Reward, they become eligible as a Referrer to their friends and family and are able to receive further Rewards by sharing their own link with friends and family if those individuals use the link to become ScottishPower customers."I queried this when I signed up, answer I got was if refer a friend link/code is available to me then is ok to refer, I received referral credits fine, however not long after I queried it refer friend link/codes were not available to others until switches had completed, those switching in couldnt see full account dashboard until after switch completed.Maybe that has now reverted back to how it was if you have a refer a friend link and your switch has not completed ....0

I had a stay with us email and a £50 credit added to my account, having been SoLR'd from YE to SP and checking on the special tariff they offered and the awful mess they are making of the switch from YE there is no way a even a £100 bribe would I recommend any of my friends and family to go with SP, expensive tariff and very poor customer service (at the bottom of Which league table for service says it all)
Rather keep my friends and not fall out with my family for a £100 bribe which will be swallowed up it SP's expensive tariff0 -
Well I'm a Green Network customer which has gone bust. So being transferred to EDF. They will probably stop the switch. The fact that it let me refer a friend link and he got a confirmation about the credit makes me hopeful. I'm aware that they have poor CS.I understand you can change tariffs so was thinking I may change to standard without exit fee and leave once I have the credit.0
