Tyres replacement

Hello all!! Time to change all four tyres on my car, Vauxhall Corsa ,any suggestions? I had a look in my local tyre shop and he suggested me a brand named Davanti for 65 £ each. Have you ever heard this brand? Any suggestions if I should choose these? I found for 10£ more Yokohama Hankook and Firestone tyres. Average miles per year 7000-8000 and I would like to fit summer tyres..Thank you in advance!!

What size ?  Probably a bit expensive for an unknown Chinese tyre - mixed reviews but overall seem to come up as poor in the wet.

All depends on the size of tyre but I wouldn't pay that for some no name Chinese ditch finder. I would have look on Blackcircles to see if they can do better.

Hi Q have davanti listed at £63 a tyre. The next level up is Avon ZV7 or the Firestone Road hawk at £76 and £77 a tyre. Both well established brands. One of my current cars came with a set of the Avon tyres which have proved very good for grip in all conditions and I used to fit the old equivalent of the Firestone on a previous car which were also good in all conditions.

Personally I now always go with premium tyres, Dunlop or Perreli depending on which suits the car best. I am happy to pay £100 a tyre for peace of mind and good handling when I want to go for a spirited drive. Probably overkill on a Corsa though.

    Davanti are AliBaba specials. Avoid.

If money's the main driver, then the £68 Toyos will be a fiver a corner VERY well spent.
If you live somewhere rural with fairly harsh winters, spend the extra £3 on the £71 Kumho all-seasons.

Agree with the above, the Toyo Proxes are a fairly decent mid priced tyre. It's a shame you couldn't have 205/55 16 on those rims as they are far more cheaper due to them being the more common size but I don't think your wheel size could take them.

There is no best time of year.  It is down to how work the tyres are.

Before your old tyres are so knackered as to be a problem.
